Made of sturdy cast aluminum, the Vicmarc® Gauge Master is useful for center marking and also has reference notches ranging from 15 to 70 degrees that help you check your various turning tools for the correct grind angle. A reference table showing turning tools and their recommended angle of grind is etched on the face of the Gauge Master. The 75º notch is handy for checking the end of scrapers used to cut the dovetail recess required by expanding dovetail jaws.
